You can use the Actions Set Filter option to execute the selected business task only for a subset of entities.
For example, you may have a business task that you include in your gate configuration but you want N4 to execute it only for Trouble Transactions. In the Gate Transactions view (on page 1), create and save a filter that lists all the trouble transactions. Next, in the Business Tasks form (on page 1) for a gate stage, include the business task and use the Actions Set Filter option to associate the saved filter with the business task. Now, N4 executes the business task only if the gate transaction being processed is a trouble transaction.
You must include the business task in your gate configuration for the filter condition to apply.
To associate a saved filter with a business task:
In the Business Tasks form, select the business task.
Ensure that the business task is included in the gate configuration.
Select Actions Set Filter.
N4 displays a form with the Saved Queries drop-down list.
From the Saved Queries drop-down list, select a saved filter that you want to associate with the business task.
For a gate stage, the drop-down list displays the filters saved in the Gate Transactions view (on page 1). For a transaction type at an appointment stage, the drop-down list displays the filters saved in the Appointments view (on page 1) and for the truck visit at the appointment stage, it displays the filters saved in the Truck Visit Appointments view (on page 1).
For more information on saving filters, see Using saved filters.
Click OK.
Click OK in the Business Tasks form.
Click Save to save and close the transaction type or the truck visit.
